“Super Flaps” add 17” of heavy-duty, compliant, urethane flap and comb to each side of your Trail Tenderizer. These quick pin on and off of any 1995 or newer Trail Tenderizer: four, six or eight foot width. Super Flaps don’t renovate, but they do an amazing job of smoothing out fresh snow almost a full THREE FEET wider than the width of your Trail Tenderizer. They will “fold up” when you run them into a tree or other obstruction without doing damage.

Super Flaps don’t renovate, but they do an amazing job of smoothing out fresh snow almost a full THREE FEET wider than the width of your Trail Tenderizer. They will “fold up” when you run them into a tree or other obstruction without doing damage. If you use them consistently, they will “radius” the edge of your trail, leaving a nice curved transition to the vertical wall that can catch a skier’s tip. They smooth out berms beautifully, leaving a nice overlap even when the fresh snow is deep. Finally, because they are not renovating, they don’t make your implement harder to pull.
Here are some typical applications:
- On a Four Foot Trail Tenderizer, they can be used to groom a narrow classic trail, “folding up” when encountering the tight spots, but leaving almost 7’ of groomed width everywhere else. As the snow builds up during the season, the trail sides will have a curved transition at the edge, providing skiers with lots of opportunity to snowplow, turn and pass.
- On a Four or Six Foot Trail Tenderizer, the Super Flaps will help tremendously when grooming a wider multi-pass trail in fresh snow. The additional width may eliminate passes, and the overlap is greatly improved. When renovating a skating lane, the flaps help keep loose material from getting into an existing classic track. You can remove a flap from just one side of the Trail Tenderizer if necessary for clearance.“
